Our second week in the academy was as fascinating as our first. It was full of awed and fascination as competent instructor and staff share their knowledge and skills. We have had our very first field visit last Monday which have given us a glimpse of the exciting world of entrepreneurship. We also have our industry analysis and opportunity identification visit. We were able to apply the knowledge we have just acquire concerning the GEM model and the need for the 3 personalities to exist in a business. These visits are giving us the practical knowledge that we need for someone who venture into a business to be called as a businessmen. I guess all of us discovered perhaps, the very reason why most small businesses are not striving to keep good records. Sir Anton teaches us the basic accounting procedures which doesnt seem to that 'basic" for us who are new to this things. But most of us are studying hard to get a better grasp of this basic accounting procedures which will assure us of success once we go back home and start our business venture. We also have our first "tour of Cebu" today! We went to a couple of tourist attraction in the city. The funny thing is that even though it was an outdoor activity, almost everyone are trying to make use of the newly gained knowledge even in simple and little purchases. It seems like the "entrepreneur" in us are slowly but surely coming out. We seemed to be looking for people's problem's as we realize that these are needs that are yet to be satisfied. Indeed, aside from the best 2 years time that we had in the mission, this is the best 2 months time that is so significant as this is the time that we are given the opportunity to remember fragments of the lesson taught unto us before we left the presence of our Father in Heaven. The best 2 weeks so far with 6 more to go!!!!
